The Department of Theory and History of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture of the TUL provides lectures and seminars on historical and theoretical subjects for both art and architecture students. In addition to its pedagogical content, it is also a place for its own theoretical and historical research, in which it focuses on a broader, interdisciplinary approach to art and architecture. Currently, the department is mainly concerned with the possibilities of using topological studies for the comprehensive interpretation of art and architecture, but also on mapping the heritage of modernity with its impacts on the present.
